2001年10月、私はイラクを訪ね、バクダッドに３週間滞在した。あなたもイラクに対するアメリカの覇権については、よくご存知のことと思うが、以下に、ブッシュ二世政権の姿勢について、その重要な点を手短に説明しておきたい。
[クルド人問題]
現在クルド人が居住している地域は３つの部分に分けることができる。ひとつは、トルコの支配下、もうひとつはイランの支配下、そしてもうひとつがイラクの支配下である。そのなかでクルド人は１０年以上にわたり、独立のための戦いを展開してきた。そのリーダーはトルコに拘束されている。何千何百人ものクルド人がトルコ軍によって殺され、またイラン、イラクによっても殺された。イラクとイランがクルド人の武力蜂起を押さえ込もうとしたとき、アメリカはクルド人に同情した。まるで、ワニの涙のように大げさに。
しかし、トルコ人が何千人ものクルド人を殺したとき、アメリカはそれを黙殺した。なぜなら、トルコがＮＡＴＯの一員だからである。今、イスラエルはその高度な戦車やミサイルで、毎日平均10人のパレスチナ人を殺しているにもかかわらず、アメリカはそのことには触れようとしない。なぜなら、イスラエルは彼らの同盟国のひとつだからである。
私のイラク訪問の目的のひとつは、イラクの人々や子供たちに対する国連による経済封鎖（貿易制限）の影響を調べることだった。しかし、そこで私は、子供たちの苦しみを説明する言葉がないほどに打ちのめされた。この12年間の経済封鎖の間、彼らはみんな苦しんできた。アラブ諸国の中でイラクだけがもっとも豊かで教育の行き届いた国だった。以前は、より高度な教育を受けるために、隣接諸国から多くの学生がイラクに来ていた。アラブ諸国の中で、イラクの女性たちがけが、銀行や学校、ホテルなどあらゆるところで働いていた。彼女らは自由に往来を闊歩し、学校や大学にも行っている。彼女らは、みな自分の考えを表明できる人たちで、私とも話をした。
今、アメリカが背後にいて実施されているイラクの人々や子供たちに対する国連制裁は、この国の子供たちの輝かしい未来や夢をすでに破壊してしまった。
薬がない。私は病院を訪ね、医師たちと話をした。多くの罪のない子供たちが、白血病や癌で死んでいった。医師たちは何もするすべがない。まったくの無力である。
何百人もの子供たちがこの（経済）制裁下で生まれそして毎日死んでいく。アメリカはなぜイラクを支配しあるいは破壊することにそれほどまでに執着するのだろうか。その答えはただひとつ「石油」である。アメリカはトルコに対し、イラク攻撃のためにトルコ国内の基地を使用することの見返りに２６０億ドルを支払うことを約束している。この金の出所は、といえば、イラクの石油がもたらしてくれるのである。
世界中の人口の２／３は貧困である。富める豊かな国々がともにそしてまじめに協力すれば、世界の貧困は徐々に減っていくはずである。が、実際のところ、彼ら（米英）は、アジアやアフリカの貧しい人々のことを考えていない。彼らは世界の人々を、さらにいっそう貧困にしようとしている。ソビエト連邦の崩壊後、アメリカの貧しい国々、パレスチナ、イラクなどへの“いじめ”は日に日に激しさを増していった。アメリカの存在はまさにガリバーそのものだ。
[北朝鮮問題]
アメリカは、北朝鮮に対して関心をもっていない。なぜなら、そこで仮に戦争が勃発しても儲からないからである。また、戦争は、北の大砲や砲弾からソウルを守ることができないからである。1991年の中東湾岸でのイラク戦争後、日本のバブル経済が崩壊した。日本政府は戦費として過剰な資金を供給し、そのことが日本の経済に大きな影響をもたらしたのである。
そして、また新たな戦争が中東地域で勃発したら、日本が最初に影響を受けることは間違いない。日本経済はいっそう悪化するに違いない。
中国のことわざに、「鳥の尻尾になるよりは頭になるほうがましだ」というものがあるが、今の日本はアメリカの尻尾に成り下がっている。日本は独自の外交政策をもっていない。（独自の外交政策がないなら）日本はむしろフランスやドイツに賛同すべきである。日本政府は世界中の90％の人々が戦争に反対していることを知っている。にもかかわらず、日本はアンクル・サムの側にたった。
われわれは、世界の人々の安全を神に祈る。世界のコミュニティの平和のために共に祈ろう。
私たちは戦争と戦争商人を憎む。

I had visited IRAQ in October 2001 and had stayed about 3 weeks in thecity
of Baghdad. You all are aware about the American hegemony against Iraq.
Here, I would like to inform in short on some important points about
the attitude of Bush II administration.
KURDISTAN: This country is divided into three pieces. One part is under
TURKEY, another part is under IRAN and the other one is under IRAQ. Kurds
are fighting for there independence since decades. Its leader is under
arrest in Turkey. Hundreds of thousands of Kurds were killed by the Turkish
Army, IRAQ and IRAN as well. When Iraq and Iran tried to inactivate the
Kurdish uprising by force, then America showed its sympathy to the Kurdish
people.
Same as like as crocodile's tear.
But when TURKEY killed thousands of Kurds, America remains silent. Because
it is a NATO member. Now ISRAEL is killing 10 Palestines in average everyday
by their sophisticated Tanks and Missiles, America never spoke out against
Israel. Because it's one of their allies. My objective of visiting Iraq
was to study the impact of the U.N. TRADE EMBARGO against the people and
the CHILDREN of Iraq.
Believe me, I have no ward to explain about the suffering of the children.
Within this 12 year trade embargo, they all are suffering . In Arab countries,
only Iraq was the most richest and literate society. Students from other
countries once used to come to Iraq for higher studies. Only in Iraq women
are working from hotels to banks and schools, everywhere. Freely they were
walking in streets, going to schools and Universities. They were responsive,
I could talk with them.
Now this American backed U.N. SANCTIONS against the people of Iraq and its
children already destroyed the golden future and dreams of these children.
There are no medicines. I visited hospitals and have talked with the doctors.
Many innocent cute children were dying of leukemia and cancer. The doctors
had nothing to be done. They were helpless.
Hundreds of children were born in this sanctions and also dying everyday.
WHY AMERICA IS INTERESTED TO DESTROY OR OCCUPY IRAQ?
The answer is only one, it's 'OIL.' America promised to TURKEY US$26
billion for using its base to attack Iraq. Where from this money will come?
It will come from Iraq's oil.
Two third of the worlds population are poor. If the rich countries would
work together and honestly, the poverty would have been decreased gradually.
The TRUTH is that they ( America & Britain ) don't think about the
Poor in Asia and Africa. They want to make the world's population more
poorer. After the collapse of the Soviet Union, America's bullying to the
poor countries and to the Pales tine and Iraq is increasing day by day.
Their standing is just like Gulliver.
NORTH KOREA : America isn't interested about North Korea. Because, it will
not get money from here if the war is broken out. And, it has nothing ability
to protect Seul from the North's Artillery Shells.
The 'bubble economy' in Japan were decreasing after the Iraq war in The
middle east in 1991.
It is because of supplying of excess money by the Japan Government for
The cost of the war for which it had a big impact to the Japan's economy.
And if another war is broken out in the middle east, I'm sure that Japan
will suffer first. It's economy must go worse.
"There is a Chinese proverb: It's better to become the HEAD of a
bird rather than becoming a TAIL of it." Today's Japan is the tail
of America. It has no independent foreign policy. Otherwise Japan would
join with Germany and France. It knows that the world's 90% population
are against the war. Instead, Japan sided with its 'Uncle Sam.'
We pray to GOD for well being of the people of the world. Let us pray
for the PEACE of world's community.
We hate war and the war mongers.
